The next step in the encryption process is to program the SD Card with a unique AES key. This step is enabled in the Prog12z through the use of the unique AES key value, which cannot be changed by the user. For full details on the current encryption process used, please visit the developer’s blog.
After all files have been encrypted, a unique serial number is added to each file. This number is used on a file by file basis, so that the AES key is decrypted for each section of the file. Users can then easily change the sector encryption from AES to another encryption type such as AES-MD5.
The Prog12z USBLites programming device has an extension support that allows it to program a broad selection of extension boards that share the same form factor as the Cyclone FX. The device comes with preloaded extension models that are created as plugins, which automatically load up the GUI when a supported board is inserted. This includes extension models for Flash Fire, OLEDs, Ethernet, Tail LEDs, and many more.
Once the OSD has been loaded, disconnect the board from the PC, and reconnect it to the Prog12z. Connect the board to the Prog12z and turn it on. If the board was not flashing messages, this should be the last message you will receive before the board is ready to flash. If any of the messages did not display correctly, check your system setup and make sure that the extensions are correctly enabled in the Prog12z, and then try again. If all else fails, you can use the Windows Device Manager to ensure that your extension board is visible.
If everything looks good, the board should now be rebooted on the Prog12z, and it will be connected to the PC. If it is not automatically rebooted, you can force the reboot yourself with the on button. The board will have a new link icon at the top. Click this, and the board will automatically reboot.
